Role: Concept development and full production
What started as a weird joke that made me laugh from The Simpsons, ended up as a full-blown case study on a product. This project had it all - 3D modelling in Blender, texture and logo creation in Photoshop, compositing and editing in After Effects, you name it.
Let’s take a tour of all of the components that made this project tick and a sneak peek behind the scenes to show all of the moving parts, which is of course, the best part of any project.

Basic Animation and Testing
After modelling was complete, the real question was okay, what’s next? Animation tests came first. As we can see here, the first task was to create something interesting. This is actually the render of what you see in the portfolio section of the site, and currently in my showreel. Lighting and basic movement were the key points of focus in this section, I really wanted to nail down as much of the lighting as possible inside Blender and not have to worry about heavy compositing inside After Effects.
